As someone who has just recently moved in I can only comment on my experiences over the last month. So far the management and maintenance service has been extremely helpful. The move in was smooth and the townhouse is a wonderful design and close to downtown Ann Arbor. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that there was a lot of maintenance that should have been done before we moved in (such as peeling paint, jammed doors, clogged fireplaces, some appliances not functioning appropriately), but maintenance was quick to fix them and are wonderful to work with! So far I am loving my experiences here! Would definitely recommend!

This has been the worst experience of my life!!! Please avoid this management at all costs!! My husband and I lived here for 2 years and were charged $1,200 upon move out. We thoroughly scrubbed the unit and were sent a photo of fingerprints and a $100 cleaning fee. They charged us to replace the carpet in the entire unit because we had a toy chihuahua. The carpet was only two years old and in excellent condition. There were two minor areas of discoloration that needed to be cleaned. They even illegally charged us to replace the carpet in my roommates' bedroom, an area where my dog was not allowed. Despite the fact they advertise as pet friendly and I have spent over $1,100 in pet fees over the years, they made no attempt to clean the carpet. We were provided with two unclear photos and no invoices or an itemized list of charges. They had no documentation to support their claim that the two year old carpet needed to be replaced in the entire unit despite the fact that carpet replacement is considered an extreme last resort. My husband and I kept being threatened with collections when we voiced our concerns. We were met with rudeness and hostility by the property manager who went on to violate the terms of the lease in retaliation against us. They sent a series of poorly written emails that would have been comical if it wasn't so serious. In one email we were told cleaning would have made the problem worse. In another we were told if the carpet could have been cleaned we would have done it ourselves and since we didn't we acknowledge the need for replacement. What??? We even have photos and video of the unit upon move out and they still wouldn't listen. I have never been treated with such disrespect or so devalued as a person. These managers are vultures and entirely corrupt. They will do everything in their power to pawn their business expenses onto their tenants. I was charged for renovations, not damages. No one deserves to be treated and exploited the way we were. I have attached the photos they sent us which they claimed warranted $1,200 in damages. Both areas are about the size of a shoe print. If you want to "address my concerns" I would like a full refund and an apology. You have my contact info. UPDATE: When you call that number they say they can't talk over the phone (for legal reasons) and then ignore your emails. It's all part of the charade they use to attract business. Once you sign or leave they no longer care.

Lived here for two years. The apartments are nice and the maintenance is usually pretty good. Never really had any issues until move-out. We were never required to pay a security deposit, but that doesn't matter because they just threaten to send your charges to collections if you don't pay within 30 days. Never got a response to the first email I sent inquiring more information about move-out charges. Was charged $700 for excessive stains in the carpets. There were 3 stains total in the entire townhouse, and two were very small/minor. Never received clarification on where the $ amount came from, and what carpet actually got replaced. The customer service is just not good. Would not recommend staying here if you don't want to have to pay for things after move-out.

Will do their best to squeeze every penny out of you. I turned my keys in 4 hours late on the day of move out and was charged a fee of $250. I get that it's on the lease but I left a voicemail saying that I was stuck in an emergency at work at would ensure I returned the keys before close of business. There is something that comes with customer service and just purely being an understanding human which you will never see with them. There are loads of other charges that you will see upon move out which I personally never saw at any other place. The apartment is nice and the maintenance responds quickly but there will be no "customer respect" you should be expecting to see. Never considering this management again.

Terrible place to move. Management sucks. My car was towed because they wanted me to fix a tire. Maintenance used my eating bowls out of my cabinets to place under my leaking toliet. There also was water leaking in my wall and they told me there wasn't and my wall paint started peeling. I also am currently being Harassed by the office because they continuously find reasoning to bother me and take money from me. Being an African American female I'm being bothered for no reason at all . I just want to go to college and have a nice place to lay my head and I'm being discriminated. Also, everyone is really rude . This place gets Zero stars from me. Rent is also is way to high to consistently have problems in the units . I'm a very unhappy resident .

Woodland Mews was one of the most horrible rental experiences of my life. I rented from them in 2010 with my family and initially everything seemed great. However, when we encountered problems (a leaky roof that destroyed the closet, some clothes and the floor in the area, a deck that was unstable and that we were told ultimately could fall, running toilets that would occasionally overflow) they were not fixed - at all. We complained and complained about the problems and ultimately had to withhold rent to have them come and fix what was wrong. The leaks from the roof had destroyed the ceiling in the master bedroom by that point and damaged the floors, but what did they do? A patchwork fix that ended up breaking down the next time it rained. They honestly could care less about their tenants and I was happy to leave, but of course this wasn't the end of it... They ended up claiming that the damage was OUR fault for not reporting it (we reported at least a dozen times) and that we were responsible for the problems that were created from the water leaking in through their horrible roof. They even tried to get a claim filed against us for damaging their property and when I went to rent somewhere else FALSELY told the landlord at the new place that we were evicted from their townhouse. Bottom line, the management in 2010 was HORRENDOUS and the things they did to my family were the tactics of a slumlord. If I had more money I would have sued them, but I've since just moved on with my life. I do not know who the management is now, but if it hasn't changed please stay away at all costs! Delete review

Moved into our unit at Woodland Mews with my fiance this summer. No complains so far and were happy with our decision to live here. For starters, our apartment has exceeded our expectations. They assigned us to a unit that had been renovated. It was super clean, completely repainted, and was very spacious. The floor plan is cool and very unique. The office staff has also been helpful since day one. Most important to us, the atmosphere at Woodland Mews is very laid back and friendly. Our neighbors have become our friends and that has been living here all the more comfortable.

I lived in these apartments for 5 years. From January 2008 to December 2012. Management changed a few times while there. I never had issues with any of them. Maintenance was always prompt to take care of anything. The amenities and location is great. So close to all your shopping needs and downtown is only a couple of miles away. Was lucky enough to have what is now called the woodland2 floor plan on the third floor while there. Also a very safe area and never had issues with neighbors. Perfect location for a student or young professional.

Woodland Mews is under new management which is a VERY good thing. Based on my experience, the whole staff has been very responsive and helpful. This past winter, I had an issue at my unit and the maintenance staff took care of it in a timely manner. A few weeks ago, I requested some information from the front office and the next day I received a complete response. Since the new management took over, the landscaping, clubhouse, and pool area have been greatly improved. The parking issues have been resolved as far as I can tell. There are numerous perks to living at Woodland Mews as well from on site events to St. Patties day transportation to downtown. In my opinion, what stands out at Woodland Mews is the staff is responsive and seems to really care about the people they serve.

I have been here at Woodland Mews for almost two years. I have generally had a very positive experience. The management is professional and has been prompt in getting back to me. I live in a unit that faces the lake with a beautiful view. Very happy with the apartment itself .. nice townhouse floor plan with tons of space to spread out. Much nicer than being crammed in like I previously experienced at the last two complexes I lived in Ann Arbor. Location is a big plus too. Absolutely worth checking out if youre hunting for a place to live.
