Worst place Ive ever lived and this long review is only a small list of some of the problems Ive had. Where do I begin with this place. Lets begin with the room inspections they conduct all too frequently to our annoyance. Although they do this, they still dont correct the disgusting trash bags and personal belongings that people leave all over the walkways and stairways so its most likely to enforce their fanatical control over their residents. (I will discuss that last.) Secondly is the small, dark, and cramped rooms that you will be paying far too much for. The rooms have two very small windows that allow only small amounts of light into and lighting fixtures are placed as to make the room terminally dark. The living spaces are unacceptably small with the living room just big enough to awkwardly place a small couch and tv. The kitchen has a little child size oven and fridge that can not be used for anything practical. The bedroom is only just big enough to place a small bed and maybe a desk. The only reason the prices are this inflated is because of the proximity to the school. This all accompanied by the loud noises you can hear from all directions in your room due too cheap thin walls. Loud stomping above, loud music and dogs to the sides, and constant tragic outside in the parking lot. That leads me to my third complaint being the outrageous electric fees. They claim to pay a portion of the fees yet I have received by far the highest electrical charges Ive had compared to all the other apartments Ive lived. Coincidence that they control the electrical fees? I think not. Im sure its illegal how they rob the residents via these bills, I just hope some day they are persecuted justly. My fourth complaint is the complete absence of the control over their residents which is why the entire complex smells like marijuana and dog poop. I cant recall the amount of times my own room stunk like the cesspool outside. On another important note is the rudeness and stuck up attitudes of the management here. Not only does it feel like pulling teeth to have your existence acknowledged upon entering the main office, but snobby remarks are a common practice here. My last and certainly not least complaint is their micro management, psychopathic, power hungry need to disallow any weapons into the residents rooms. Not just guns here, I mean all forms even my dull swords I got in Japan that are used for exclusively for decoration. This is not only a completely idiotic lack of common sense to make this rule but an infringement on amendment rights. Ps, if someone is going to do something illegal like murder, your little apartment rules wont stop them, thats why its ILLEGAL. They will however allow kitchen knives so there goes that clueless logic. This complex is a disgrace. Like I said this long review is only a small list of the other equivalently bad problems some being pathetically weak complementary wifi (also a money scam), busy and loud parking lots (also not controlled properly with people who dont even live there), dirty pool, disgusting and broken grill, filthy and smelly laundry room, and dark, depressing, and cramped living spaces. By far the worst place Ive ever lived and the worst management Ive had to deal with. It literally makes me sick knowing there are places like this that exist. DONT MOVE HERE! The close proximity to the school is not worth all the bad you WILL endure!

If I could give this place zero stars then I would. This is an absolutely horrendous JOKE of an apartment complex. So, to the person reading this, I normally take these kinds of reviews with a grain of salt; however, PLEASE do not sign a lease here. Overpriced, management is horribly rude, staff is clueless, maintenance issues are never resolved, the apartment was filthy upon move-in. Our carpets reeked of cat pee and cigarettes (apparently new carpet and/or carpet cleanings aren't the standard for CEV during lease turnovers). In fact, they offered to clean our carpets if we agreed to renew our lease; was that a joke? Aren't you SUPPOSED to do that? To continue, we had two awful water leaks, one for which we called the emergency maintenance line, but I guess CEV thought that it could wait. I'm guessing so that they could screw us on our water bill, like they did every month. Plus, if you don't have wifi for months at a time (once during finals) don't expect any reimbursement from CEV. This place takes advantage of students. Oh, the cherry on top was the black mold we discovered we'd been living with in our upstairs closet as well as underneath our sink (yes, from the said water leaks).

This place is a joke. I shouldve known from the start it was going to be bad. First of all, they are way over priced and pretend to be nice apartments when really they are bad apartments that have been poorly remodeled. When I first signed my lease 2 years ago, they put me in the wrong room. I tried to fix it in March, but they didnt do anything until May and then tried to charge me extra for signing late when it was their fault. I let that slide and lived there for a year with not too many difficulties other than the shoddy appliances. I signed another years lease just because I wanted to continue living with my friends. Unfortunately, in September my great aunt got very sick and I moved home to help my grandmother take care of her. She passed away in October so I decided to stay home and transfer schools to be near my grandmother. When I tried to sublease, I had no luck and when I went to the office for help, I was told that they would only help me if all of their other apartments were leased out because they were already getting my money and they wanted other peoples as well. So here I am in June, and Ive been paying 600 dollars a month for a place where I dont even live on top of tuition for my new college. All the office had to say for themselves is that all of this was in the lease. Well Im sorry life doesnt go as planned. If you rent here, you better hope nothing ever goes wrong in your life because they wont care. Good luck.

ANY CO-SIGNERS please be aware that you are on the hook for all renewals whether you sign or not. Their leases are very broad and, of course, in their favor. Just be aware.

Living here has been awesome for the year and a half I have been here. The lofts are awesome, tons of space for a single person to live in. Maintenance is super friendly and helpful, the front desk guys are super chill, and I can run to UNCW in under 2 minutes or walk in 5. They had a wifi issue because of spectrum which wasn't great, but now that its back I realize how fast the internet is. The pools are pretty sweet too and theres a solid community of mostly friendly people. Renewed and will be doing the same in the future!

I would give this apartment a 0 if at all possible because it is very difficult for me to think of one good thing about this place. The room that they gave me and my roommate was not even remotely close to what they showed me when I came to tour. My apartment was VERY dirty when I moved in and there were areas of the wall that were not painted. There is also no room between the cabnets and counter to put a damn coffee pot or knife block. The walls here are extremely thin, I can hear people next to me talking and watching TV and I can hear people above me stomping and yelling allllll day. There is also a HUGE roach problem here despite them "spraying for bugs". On several occasions I have come home to roaches on and around my bed, in my shower, and around the kitchen and living area. During me and my roommate's time here, one of our cars was broken into and we also had a HUGE issue with water leaking up from under the floorboards and it took FOREVER for maintenance to get the issue completely resolved. Also, in one of the bathrooms, the sink actually collapsed from the wall, causing serious injury to my roommate. Maintenance NEVER keeps us informed about the work going on in the apartment unless we happen to be present while they are working. And this is just the beginning of the issues I have with Campus Evolution. Honestly, I have a laundry list of issues and quite frankly I wouldn't recommend living here to anyone. It is far too expensive for what you get and living here is f***ing terrible. T While it is nice being close to campus and not having to buy a parking pass, walking in the rain and cold is absolutely miserable. For your own sake, STAY AWAY.

Moved into a dirty apartment. I was going to clean it anyway but I mean C'mon so much dog hair and dust. The dog owner in the complex don't pick up the poo and we only got 1 parking decal and 1 key to the door. I asked for a decal and the office chick said they only give one and we can only get a 2nd key If the 1st gets lost and we'll have to pay $100 for it. Laundry, gym and a stand up tanning both of the latter are included in rent. Furnished or not with Wi-Fi included with rent along with pest control and water,/sewer and electrical service allowance of up to $30. Very peaceful and quiet, surprisingly. You don't have to be a student to live here and they do breakfast and other meals etc in the club house. Pool, outdoor bar, grill, TV and gas fueled fire pit. I can't wait for summer!

Hopefully none of your appliances stop working, it takes management the whole semester to fix them. Beware if you try to pay your rent by card, they charge you a ridiculous fee to do so. They give out free food once in a while and they do whatever they can to make the customers stay as welcome as possible.

A word to the wise- don't EVER live at CEV Villages in Wilmington. I moved out over the summer and they are now claiming I owe them over $500 for carpet stains and trash in the kitchen. When I moved out I left that place cleaner than when I moved in. The apartment was FILTHY when I moved in and I spent hours getting it to a livable condition. Throughout living there, the utilities randomly spiked and dropped, and I often paid more for water, sewer and electric than my parents 4 bedroom 3 bath home. Their lease agreement CLEARLY states that water was included, but when I approached them about it, the manager said "they have the right to change what they like." I know these charges are simple due to my parents complaining. Their lease agreement is confusing and a total of 4 pages. My current lease at my new apartment was 25 pages. 4 pages is not normal. The manager there has been extremely rude to my parents on more than one occasion. She also terrified and upset a friend of mine when she simply wanted to pick up a package. Every time I was in the office that lady was yelling at someone. I have never had a worse experience at an apartment complex as I have with CEV. It's over-priced, they treat you like garbage, and it's not worth the short walk. Save yourself the trouble and live somewhere - ANYWHERE - else.

Rent is overpriced because it's so close to campus. Save the extra $200 a month and walk an extra 5 minutes. Management is not good, both at the Wilmington branch and the company as a whole. The ONLY good thing I have to say about this place anymore is that the maintenance guys are awesome. I miss when it was Campus Walk.

Campus Evolution Villages in Wilmington, NC is a wonderful place to live. The location is perfect (practically right next to UNCW's campus), the pools are nice, and the units are cool to live in -- but what really makes this living experience one of the best is definitely the staff. The maintenance workers (lead by the ever-pleasant Paul Walker) are efficient and friendly. The office staff is fun to be around, and they're always feeding you free food! In particular I'd like to single out Tyler Minton -- he's always available if I have a question or concern in regards to my lease, unit, etc. He's friendly, helpful, and I get the sense that he truly cares about his residents. Thank you for making it so that I love where I live (:

I just moved out of CEV; it was an excellent place to live. The maintenance staff was always fixing problems fast. The staff in CEV inside were great especially Erica (Assistant General Manager) she was so helpful all the time and really nice. I would recommend students to live there. Get Erica (Assistant General Manager) she will have answers and help you with all you need.

If you check behind the fridge, I found a pile of roaches hiding there and in the cabinets!! They were pretty quick with maintenance requests. Expensive compared to other newer apartments. Moving out next week.
