I am a non-resident at The Fountain Apartments, but have had great experiences so far when communicating with The Fountains team. I unexpectedly arrived without a showing appointment on a Friday early afternoon, and Bob (the manager) was more than willing to give me a tour and answer any questions that I had. I was beyond grateful that he dropped everything in order to help me, especially since I think I interrupted a meeting. He was very detailed and thorough when showing the unit and answering all of my many questions. I felt nothing but relief when describing my situation because he explained that they could work with me and my moving timeline. The facility had multiple amenities that I know I will utilize as an individual, and I like the layout of the apartment that was shown to me. Today, I called The Fountains Apartments and spoke with Sarah, the assistant manager. There was no waiting on the phone line, and I was able to directly talk with her instead of an automated system and/or leaving a message. I am currently trying to wrap up my lease with my current apartment complex, and my situation has been nothing but headaches. Sarah provided the information I needed about different apartment units and their availability, and also gave me more professional advice to help with my own personal dilemma. The Fountain Apartments team provided me with exceptional care, and you can tell they truly care about their tenants.

I always find parking close to my building. Maintenance always takes care of the property and is very friendly. The area is pet friendly.The parking lot was also paved during snowfall, so that is a plus point. I have had no issues so far and I do not foresee any issues arising. It is great quiet area to live in with your family. If you read bad reviews on here, please notice the date is from over a year ago. I recommend giving The Fountains a try.

i have lived at the Fountains Apartments for 3.5 years. I would recommend the complex to anyone looking for a nice, quite complex in West Des Moines. The location is convenient to grocery stores, restaurants, shopping and close to I-35. The staff (office and maintenance) is very friendly and helpful. The complex is clean and well maintained - all maintenance requests are resolved very quickly. I am extremely happy with the snow removal. After the driveways are plowed, the snow in front of the garage doors is also removed so you don't have a pile of snow to drive through. Other complexes will just leave the huge pile of snow after the plows go through.

I've lived in several apartments before the Fountains, but this is the first place that genuinely felt like home to me. It seems like living costs goes up every year in Iowa, but I really get what I pay for here. Wood burning fireplace, central air, pet friendly, and responsive maintenance.
