A lovely retirement community in which to live. They treat us really well. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. There are about 100 residents and, for the most part, they are all very friendly too. Pets are allowed but only if they are cats. I have a one meal a day plan but you can do two or three. Having dinner provided really lightens the workload at home. Rent also includes weekly housekeeping, maintenance, Comcast cable TV, electricity, water, telephone, light bulbs, toilet paper ... I have a nice apartment and participate in regular activities, which are also included. There are regular outings for an appropriate fee when necessary. Exeter provides beautiful holiday meals to which you can invite your family or friends (for a nominal fee). If you miss a meal you can make it up by eating an extra meal on another day or by using it to pay for a guest's meal (non-holiday, of course). The building has 10 floors with two for assisted living guests. The others are for those of us who still live independently. Exeter is affiliated with Skyline and Park Shore. The three communities cooperate extensively. I use the swimming pool twice a week at one of the other sites and all three sites often have outings together. I believe there are some care issues which also shared. I'd recommend any of the three places if you are planning to retire.
