I have been living at Yorktown Estates for three years and have had such a fantastic experience. The amenities are wonderful (including a fitness room, billiards room, pool, etc.), and did I mention they have a service that picks up and drops off your dry cleaning? Many residents also enjoy the free breakfast five days a week. The staff members are genial and helpful. Maintenance is always fast and attentive in handling any issues I have had in my apartment. The grounds are kept up so nicely. When it snows, I can expect someone to clear off paths pretty efficiently. Bus access is great, too. The quality of life as a resident here is very high, thanks in part to all of these factors.

Where to start. We've lived here for 3 years and love everything. The maintenance staff is responsive and helpful, same with the regular staff - and friendly! Free breakfast is a solid start to the morning. Pool, underground parking, hot tub, respectable workout facilities, office w/ printer, and even dry cleaning, hair cut, and massage services (for $). The staff throw parties every few months (like beer tasting!). All this not even mentioning the unit with the great location with access to the 14 and 67 bus routes for easy downtown access. The rent may be a little more than some other places, but the quality of life is worth every penny. Our 1BR unit has central air with a huge living eoom (over 1000sq ft) with laundry inside the unit. Our neighbors are all very friendly; a little community. Best part: pet friendly. It's going to be hard to ever leave this place!

We've lived at Yorktown for over a year and we can't imagine living anywhere else in Madison. The grounds are beautiful, the apartments are comfortable and very well-maintained. Any maintenance requests have been solved within 24 hours and we've always felt safe and taken care of. The front office staff are friendly and welcoming -- they making living here even more fun -- not to mention the amenities included with rent: weekly breakfast, tanning bed, rec room, hot tub, salt water pool, in-unit laundry -- the list goes on! Most notable, the heated parking garage calculated into rent is more than reasonable.
These are very well-priced for the area. The apartments here are luxury and location is excellent. The 14 and 67 buses are within the block -- perfect for student/faculty commuters to UW. Anything of this quality closer to downtown would be double the price. We love it here, our cats love it here -- we'll be here as long as we can.

We moved into Yorktown Estate Apartments in April of 2017 and thoroughly enjoy all the amenities and overall quality of our unit. Here is our top 10 list of what we believe is the best of Yorktown Estate Apartments... 1) Very helpful and knowledgeable staff; 2) Our unit was spotless and freshly painted when we moved in; 3) The grounds are clean and well-maintained; 4) The stainless steel kitchen appliances are in excellent condition and work well; 5) The underground parking is convenient and also accommodates our bicycles well; 6) The salt water pool is awesome and the annual pool party/pig roast was fun; 7) The "free" morning weekday breakfast buffet is tasty and they make it easy to drop-in on the way to work; 8) The units are close to multiple city bus lines which makes access to public transportation convenient; 9) The central building has a full business center, an exercise facility, a hot tub, a community room and a billiards table; and 10) And perhaps the best part is that we no longer have to mow grass, shovel snow, and do all the maintenance that we previously did when we owned a home

Staff is very friendly, and will basically meet any of my requests. I'm not sure about all these negative reviews about Yorktown because these people make me feel like I'm King Tut when I walk in. Especially these reviews about this passive-aggressive Kelly???? More like Super-Awesome Kelly. I mean, I'm pretty sure if you can't get along with Kelly there might be something wrong with you. I'm glad those people moved out that didn't like her so I have more time to hang out with her now. Anyways, did I tell you about Peggy's breakfast????!??!? In all seriousness, great place, great people, I love living here.

I am pretty flummoxed by the other reviews here. I am glad we saw the place and took it before we read these.
I currently live here with my boyfriend and we love it! It has everything that we need, takes dogs and is just really well thought out compared to other places.
We have been here 3 months and we are consistently pleasantly surprised how much the apartment meets all of our needs. We have a large extra bedroom that we can use as an office with a full closet for storage space. Two full baths. An awesome screened in porch, underground parking and jacuzzi bathtub. The best part is we have a courtyard to walk our dog everyday. Complete with free doggy bags and disposal.
We have barely scratched the surface of the free amenities they offer. Breakfast, business office, wi-fi and coffee.
The apartments are quiet and any repairs or maintenance issues have been dealt with immediately. We feel very taken care of.
As far as value, these are very nice apartments. We looked all over the area and when you add in parking and other fees, they are pretty competitive.
As a current, very happy resident I would check it out before you say no.
