I dont want to give them one star!!! I have been in these apt since 09 and it is now 2018. When I first moved out here they were very good about looking out for there tents... These broken English speaking in the office are very unprofessional.. I have sent emails to corporate about the Unprofessionalism going on at La Jolla Terrace... I recommend you to go down the street.. DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!!!!!

I have been waiting forever to write this review!!! When I say pay attention to this review I mean pay attention. If you want to live in one of the most ratchetness apartments move here. When I say there is little to no communication within the office I mean it. Completely disorganized. When I first moved in I had a number of things wrong with my apt. The back door is like a death trap! It would come off the whole track, could've fallen on one of my kids or my company which almost happened numerous times.I had a leak for 5 months straight. They never came and fixed it until I had to keep calling the office and putting in requests. The dishwater didn't drain water so I could never use it. The floors from the leakage in the ceiling started coming up. The bathroom or sewage pipes were all the way messed up so it constantly smelled like somebody had shitted all the time. Then the hornet problem! For 2 weeks we had hornets coming through the window! Im not talking about one or two I'm talking about 25-30. We could not sleep in the room.They were yellow jackets at that. One day I went to the office one of them told me could I hurry and put in my maintenance request because she had somewhere to go...It wasnt even closing time.The heat wasnt working for about a week. When I say it was cold, I had to go get firewood and a space heater which did little to help. Not to mention I live above neighbors who like to beat their women. Threats or loud bangs on the floor all the time. They will leave a notice on your door about a payment when you have paid everything. The water was outta there We dont even use $50 worth of water. One of the major things was my door got kicked in may. I want you to guess how long it took them to fix it. Kept saying they need a police report. 6 MONTHS!!!! Luckily I had cool neighbors that watched out for me. THEN THE MAJOR THING!!!! ROACHES ROACHES ROACHES....here, there EVERYWHERE!!!! When I say there has been a roach infestation and you see the other reviews it aint no joke. When I first moved in it was a roach here and there...NOW they are in my stove, my cabinets on top of the fridge in my bathroom...mostly always in the kitchen...It is bad they had even gotten into the microwave and the fridge. How I do not know. WE was all living together in here. My kids yelling all the time mama theres a roach! When I'm cooking they are playing peek a boo I mean just disrespectful. THEY ONLY HAVE DSL!!! its not unlimited and completely overpriced. Cheap contract with ATT SMH!They have bedbugs. My neighbor friend got them from her neighbor. They are lucky that I didnt go to my court date because automatically for the safety hazards they would have lost. They are not understanding in the slightest and they all slack on their jobs. The maintenance does not do nothing all day most of the time.They only are barely getting around to doing what they need to do now that the holidays are over. I had a neighbor friend that her whole cabinet fell down in the middle of the night. I mean the whole thing. Thats crazy! The trash is ridiculous. The view we had was in the back of the freeway but the trash from the previous tenants are thrown all across there. No wonder there are so many loose animals. The many possums that are crawling in the back of the buildings or the skunks that be spraying everything over here its just too much not to mention the police are here about twice a week for only God knows what. People let their kids play with no supervision. Oh and yes the water gets turned off without any notice. Most apts that are put together they give a notice a couple days in advance here. You might just be in the middle of a shower and then BOOM the water is off... If you want to be living like this then please move in but I warn anybody and everybody do not move here! Do not waste your money. . Break ins, robberies I mean the list goes on there... BEWARE!!! Think about roaches playing hide and seek with you....JUST DONT DO IT!!!!!

Worst experience ever!!! I broke my lease in April and paid almost $2000 to move. The women in the leasing office were very rude. New management took over at the beginning of 2017 and it was horrible. My apartment flooded 2x November and December of 2016. Didn't have a refrigerator during Christmas and I had to throw away all my food. My bathroom was stopped up and my microwave fell apart. Plumbers came and cut a hole in the wall and they tried to say I did it and I complained about the microwave being broke when I moved in and I also put it down on my check list when I first moved in. When I moved out my apartment was clean. Only thing was missing was 2 of the blinds from the patio door. I didn't get my deposit back because they claim I left my apartment a mess (microwave,sink, and blinds were damages they used to keep my deposit). I even had pictures and the girl that did the walk around with me said I should have gotten my deposit back. They took my money!!! I wouldn't recommend nobody to move here.

They are roach infested so you pay for pest control that never happens. They also have bed bugs. Worse place to move since management has changed dont do it. Sonia is rude and has no customer service ever. If this is one of Your options please make it no option at all. And Sonia if you see this I will be reporting you!!!! 12/8/2017

I've talk to all my neighbors and they all say the managers don't care about there reports . Anyone looking don't move here!

Staff rude maintenance barely speak English. They have a roach infestation and won't do anything about it. The ac leaks into your hall and bathroom bathroom lights have short and works when it wants to. The ac is so loud it literally functions as an alarm class clock all night long. They leave appliances in the grass or sidewalks for days. The dishwasher stopped working wouldn't drain water. Think maintenance fixed it you guess right nope. Whoever they partnered with for towing tows residents cars that visibly have the sticker in the windshield. I could keep going but you get the point. Worst living experience of my life! Do not rent there if have any sort of brain. I also have pics and videos to back up my words. Do better La Horrible place to live.

I have stayed here for 9 months. There is a high turnover for office and maintenance staff. These apartments are not well maintained. The owner started a new towing service, but it is not well organized and they "accidentally" towed my car and several other residents. There is limited visitor parking and the tow trucks come out at 11:00pm or so and tow visitors on opposite ends of the park. They only offer DSL (dial up satellite dish internet) with AT&T for about $150 monthly! Adults and teenagers are always fighting and sometimes shoot on my side of the complex. There is a lot of vandalism, petty theft, and drug trafficking. Cops are always driving through here with a spot light on chasing somebody. There are little gangs of kids that mess with people cars.When I first moved in, people would come and knock on my door at 3am looking for some dude named Jeff (who tf is Jeff!?). There have been a lot of issues with water lines in these apartments. When it rains alot sewage has spilled into the street on occasion. My bedroom flooded, leak in laundry room, and repeated sewage back ups. The problem is the front office and maintenance staff do not respond quickly at all, it took hours and when my bedroom flooded I called the fire department because I went outside and saw water coming out of door of the apartment next to mine. This place is not worth the $755 rent you could pay for a 1B/1B. Please move elsewhere. This place is sleezier than the guy named Patrick that owns it.

I live at La Jolla apartments about 3 years and all i can say this is Predators/ criminals paradise, move here mind your own business but i can is that their is a lot of predators watching your every move they could be drug dealers or gang members or who knows. They will watch you as you leave go to work getting into and out of your car and picking the best time to break into your apartment or car this is a perfect hangout spot for predators cause they know they have no security patrol or cameras for that matter so if you call the police if something happened they don't know what to believe other than the rumors you are telling them cause no security services that seen it off hand also report to the management about the criminal activities going on around the area they will just blow you like nothing we can do about it. I had to file two police reports within the last two months i was living here one for apartment being breaking into and another for armed robbery. The management will try to overpriced you for rent and your water bill even i don't use much water and they have water outages all the time also one more thing no cale internet service only slow DSL service from ATT that they will over charge you for it. I can go on and on include the management is rude and does not take care of damage in the apartment for awhile. Move here at your own risk if you want your door to be kink at 3 or 5 AM and always trying to sell you something or move on else where and focus on life.

These apartments have been a nightmare start to finish and I didn't even move in. This is one of those unfortunate events where I chose to go against all of the negative reviews and decided to give it a shot. Worst mistake possible. The office is completely unorganized which is extremely clear just walking through the door and a sad excuse for "management". They don't communicate well, give no updates on units that future tenants will be moving into, and are extremely rude (Yvette) when speaking on the phone when and IF they answer. That alone should have been the red flag to get as far away from these apartments as possible. I've had more issues with these people in days than I've had with apartments I've lived in for years. I can't even imagine all the problems I would have went through if I actually moved in because I'm more than likely sure the residents on this thread are absolutely accurate. The dishonesty I've received is pathetic. Save yourself the headache and don't even bother stopping by La Jolla. They don't even deserve the one star I had to give by default.

Except Being Told It Was My Fault.I Dont Understand How My Couch Being In The Front Room ,And Me Sitting There On My Couch Can Cause Them To Spray Paint On Me Or My Furniture. When The Problem That Required Them To Be Here Was In The Hallway And Not The Front Room. But Other Than That I Been Here 3 Weeks Now. Love My Apartment And Besides Being Sprayed With Paint And Having Paint Left On My New Couch Or Nobody Never Showing Up To Clean My Carpet In The Hallway Like They Said They Would. I Like It Here. This place is terribly run. You can't trust the leasing agents at this place. They lied to me a lot.They never open the pool to tenants and yet they pay a pool guy to keep it clean all year. You pay for a pool you don't get to use, and they will threaten to evict you for using it.You can't get anything better than bad DSL internet for way too much money. I wasn't allowed by the apartment to get satellite tv. Water pipes burst my first week there and they never repaired the wall behind the pipes. They shut off the water with no notice. Water bills were somehow 100+ dollars for 2 people. My water consumption didn't go up and my bills are usually $30. Never mind the fact that they do such a poor job of checking their tenants backgrounds that 50 people get evicted every month, they might let a group of drug dealers move in next to you and sell drugs in front of your building all day every day. DO NOT move here. I paid 400 extra dollars to break my lease at this place. TERRIBLE APARTMENTS.
