German Village Neighborhood Summary

German Village is one of the most beloved historic areas of Columbus. When you see the culture and traditional architecture of this neighborhood, it’s obvious why it earned its name! It stands just south of downtown Columbus, stretching all the way down to Nursery Lane. Between the book stores and gift shops, the quaint coffee houses and old fashioned confectionaries, you will never run out of things to do here. This neighborhood also holds bragging rights to several spectacular art galleries. Much of the neighborhood’s residential housing hovers around Schiller Park, named after the famous poet and dramatist. The park reflects its namesake, housing multiple recreation centers, as well as an amphitheater, where you can watch free Shakespearean plays in the summer.

Each month, using over 1 million Rentable listings across the United States, we calculate the median 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom rent prices by city, state, and nation, and track the month-over-month percent change. To avoid small sample sizes, we restrict the analysis for our reports to cities meeting minimum population and property count thresholds.
