Gahanna Neighborhood Summary

Gahanna is a little town outside of Columbus that sits along Big Walnut Creek. Its name is derived from the creek’s former, Native American name. If you enjoy outdoor activities, Gahanna is the place for you. They have more park space per capita than any other town or city in Central Ohio, possessing a grand 725 Acres. This includes the Woods State Nature Preserve, Bike and Skate Escape at Shull Park, and a friendly little dog park. Musical events are popular here, including the Concerts on the Creek series. There is also the Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival every June. A few college campuses are located here, including Bryman College and Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Gahanna is also home to an Everest Institute campus, offering trade educations for those looking to get into the workforce.

Each month, using over 1 million Rentable listings across the United States, we calculate the median 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom rent prices by city, state, and nation, and track the month-over-month percent change. To avoid small sample sizes, we restrict the analysis for our reports to cities meeting minimum population and property count thresholds.
