It's pretty ok. I see many people complaining about the food and internet so I will get take on that.
I personally liked the food. Nothing can go wrong with unlimited pizza and salad bar. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were good too. But Breakfast is same everyday. You have eggs, sausage, pancakes, waffle, fruits, unlimited cereal bar, yogurt and oatmeal. Some might say it sucks, but what more can you ask for BREAKFAST. Lunch and dinner are different everyday, but their menus do kinda get repetitive. But I didn't mind at all. You get Taco, Burrito, hot dog, burger, enchilada, gumbo, curry, ham and etc. Again, what more can you ask for? For cafe food, it was pretty good and I didn't have to worry about missing a meal.
Internet was a bit problematic on first semester. There were many network crashes when the entire internet went down and people complained a lot. But on second semester, it seems like they fixed it alright. Not sure if it's to convince residents to stay. It might get slow again (idk).
It is pretty close to campus, but it's not the closest. RISE is much closer. But it is closest to the Northgate, which is kinda pro and con at the same time. Trad's got freebirds and Antonio to feed late night studying students, but they're not 24 hour open like McDonald at RISE (but then again, it's McDonald so..).
You got good study (or hangout) area in lobby on every floor. You also have new ping pong table and pool table. The pool is not as nice as you might think though. It might be photogenic but not that much of big deal. I hardly saw anyone use it.
Laundry room is the only thing that I seriously hated. Nothing is wrong with machines themselves though. But to work the machines, you have to get a card (free to get) and fill it up with money and swipe to use. But the machine that you use to charge the card doesn't accept $1 bills. It only accepts $5 bill and above. It's just dirty ass trick to force students to put more money in their laundry card.
I'm not staying for another year because of personal, irrelevant reasons, but people should try Trad out and decide for themselves if they like it or not.
Ps: Choose A building in your preference. It's better.
Pps: Be aware of bird shit that might hit your bike, window, or, if really unlucky, your head.
