This lake is awesome, The views are gorgeous doesnt even feel like youre in Texas they have a lot of places you can swim along the shore but you have to pay to get into most of them. We tend to stay on the boat and just float in random places on some noodles have a couple beers great place to cool off the water level is starting to get low and the boat launches are closing lets hope we get some rain soon.

Beautiful views and so much water! The water is clean and refreshing. There are so many things to do at Lake Travis so you could easily spend a full day here! It does have rocky perimeters and dramatic drop offs so depending where you end up setting up at, theres not many places to sit right by the water. (At least near where we were that day) The drive to Lake Travis makes you feel like you are transported to a whole other location not inside Texas (because of the rolling hills and road and all of the nature around you) Lake Travis will not disappoint!

I recommend that you all bring some water shoes that are prepared for sharp rocks that the whole ground is made of. It is also a good idea to use floating chairs but to be prepared for the incoming waves that come from boats driving by, otherwise the water is extremely calm. If it interest you, you might want to get a snorkeling certification, you can snorkel int he water while renting the lake's gear. Overall (8/10)

One of the best recreational lakes in all of Texas! I took a scuba diving course at a local community college a long time ago and we went to Lake Travis for our check out dive. Relatively clear water. Some did a night dive with glow sticks on their tanks and you could see them pretty deep. We also were shooting bottle rockets into the water and you can see them explode which was pretty cool. I've seen pictures over the years of the drought conditions at the lake which was pretty sad. But the drought is over and the water levels are back up. I've got an Old Hippie Hollow t-shirt hanging in my closet somewhere. Remember, this was, a long time ago.
