**THIS IS THE REVIEW YOU NEED TO READ!!**
The leasing agent told me to go ahead and apply for the apartment, pay the $400 fee, and they could extend the 7-day waiting hold for a little longer since I didn't need to move in for a couple of weeks. I paid the amount and when I called up, she told me that she couldn't extend it. So I ended up paying two weeks of rent for an apartment I didn't use.
DO NOT LISTEN TO ANYTHING THAT THE LEASING AGENTS TELL YOU. THEY ARE LIARS! THEY WILL SAY WHATEVER IT IS TO GET YOU TO SIGN THAT LEASE.
When I moved in, the apartment was filthy. It had human feces on the wall in the bathroom. There was a belly button ring left in the shower. Piles of dirt in the corners. The fake wood flooring in the bathroom was pulled off. IT TOOK ALMOST TWO WEEKS OF CALLING THEM DAILY TO GET THE FLOORS FIXED. Everyday they would say it would be done ''tomorrow.''
The apartment was infested with spiders. I asked for pest control to come by weekly. After three weeks, they finally came ONE TIME. Then they never came by again. No matter how many times I requested.
This apartment is crazy loud! There are two clubs next door and the residents are constantly blaring music until 2 or 3 am. EVERY SINGLE DAY. If you are looking for a quiet place to live, THIS IS NOT IT.
Living here was so miserable. Luckily, the leasing agent sent me a text message, before I applied for the unit, stating that the building I was applying for was a ''quiet area.'' Even though it was literally 100 feet from a night club. I talked to a lawyer and the property manager just let me out of the lease.
When I first spoke to the manager (before speaking to the lawyer), they said ''THE ONLY THING WE HAVE TO DO IS MAKE SURE YOU HAVE HOT WATER AND A RUNNING A/C.'' Then ended the conversation without any resolution.
So, if you are looking for any kind of customer service, DO NOT LIVE HERE.
On top of everything else, when I moved out, the property manager entered my forwarding address incorrectly. So instead of receiving the final bill within 7 days as stated by the law, I have to contact them to get a copy of it. By that time, it was processed as a collection on my credit report.
I lived here for almost five months. It was, by far, the worst experience I have ever had in renting a home. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS APARTMENT TO ANYONE!!!
DO NOT LIVE HERE! DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR LIES!
