This authentic Pueblo Revival casita has been totally redone over the past two years and has been furnished with new and antique furnishings and stainless steel appliances in a contemporary New Mexico style. There are double-adobe walls, 9-foot beamed ceilings, hand-troweled diamond plaster walls, skylights, wide-plank pine and white oak floors, and Saltillo tile throughout. French doors in the kitchen lead to an outdoor patio dining area and the gardens.

Warm yourself by the kiva fireplace in the living room on chilly Santa Fe nights. There is a completely equipped modern kitchen, and the dining table seats six. The two lovely bedrooms include a master suite with a California King bed, dressing area and bath plus a guest bedroom with a King bed and shower bath. The house has a full-size stacking washer-dryer in the utility area. There are 3 wall mounted refrigerated air conditioners mounted in the kitchen and each bedroom.

Casa Estrella is filled with signed Native American art and is surrounded by lovely garden areas on four sides. Relax to the sounds of a Stone Forest millstone fountain and discover Sanctuary, an original sculpture by renowned artist Bill Worrell in the garden. The landscaping is softly illuminated for truly enchanting Santa Fe evenings.

The gardens are perfect for outdoor entertaining or a romantic evening for two. There are three separate outdoor areas for dining, cocktails or just enjoying a rain shower or snowfall. A lounge area shaded by a large Russian olive tree has a cocktail table, seating for four and a chimenea. Enjoy your meals, cocktails and star gazing around the garden dining table for six. If you were to look in the dictionary for the word "serene", I suspect you just may find a picture of Casa Estrella!

Casa Estrella is a warm, beautiful retreat sitting on a calm street in Santa Fe, NM. A beautiful, two bedroom home with a full kitchen, two bathrooms, sitting and entertainment areas, wired sound, pillows of every type to make for peaceful nights' sleep, high-end shower products, the full Santa Fe design and decor.........and then there is the outside spaces!

Wow!

Two completely different and separate sitting areas, both with water features, artist's sculptures, natural landscaping, colorful baskets, connected by a walking area of natural trees and plants.....all within a Santa Fe wall!

Hanging baskets of colorful flowers and a pergola with a dining table and ample seating serves as an excellent point to have your morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Sit back and enjoy the aerial show of hummingbirds, butterflies, an array of small, local birds.........and the daily migration of beautiful Ravens and magpies as they move across the city of Santa Fe.

Ed & Marilyn have created an outstanding oasis here on Garcia Street.....it is difficult to imagine more gracious hosts, as they and their property manager have, we believe, thought of everything for the visitor to the City Different. From dishes, cooking pots and utensils, to well-documented information on the home and area and events, to the personal phone call from Ed to ensure everything was going great!

The bottom line is that if one is going to rent a spot inside the city of Santa Fe , Casa Estrella is the place to be! Not only is it an easy walk to just about anywhere worth going to in the city, it is just plain, drop-dead gorgeous!

“It Doesn't Get Any Better Than This”
This property is as good as it gets. The house itself is beautiful and incredibly well appointed with anything you would possibly need for cooking, bathing, etc. But as good as that is, the yard is even more spectacular for sitting out at night and sipping wine and looking at the stars. We went to Santa Fe to enjoy the local sites etc. but we ended up eating dinner two out of four nights at the house so we could enjoy spending the evenings in the garden. If you are looking for a place to stay for 2-4 people, it doesn't get any better than this. Easy walking distance to Canyon Road art galleries and a really easy walk to a great coffee place right down the block. We will definitely stay here again if we plan another trip to Santa Fe.

I can only add superlatives to other reviewers comments about this delightful Casita. The minute we walked in the door, after a very late arrival, we knew we had a home for the next few days - and those heavenly beds into which we couldn't wait to plop!! This is truly someone's home away from home, the owners having thought of every comfort they would enjoy when they stay here themselves and, unselfishly, sharing the art work which has been chosen with love and care. Since we just stayed here the second weekend in May, 2015 we were able to drink our morning coffee sitting on the back patio, sheltered from the wind, basking in the sun, watching the birds - including a hummingbird - drink from the fountain. We could only imagine the garden later in the year when more flowers come into season, the peonies which were in bloom being an indicator. Real estate mantra is: location, location, location. This is a perfect location and, did I mention, it is in a cul-de-sac so quiet that the birds are positively noisy! Read the arrival instructions carefully otherwise you will go zooming past the turn-off. The owners called to make sure everything was to our satisfaction and if anything were needed. Pam Maez, the rental agent, was easy to contact always returning phone calls or replying to e-mails. I would highly recommend the Casa for an unforgettable stay in Santa Fe. I know we will be talking about it for a long time.

I cannot even describe to you how wonderful your little casita was. My friend Kathy and I fell in love with it. I spent so much time sitting out by the fountain, listening to the birds, using the little fireplace. I mean it was just the epitome of absolute beauty and peacefulness, and I can't thank you enough for sharing it with us, and I hope I will be able to catch up with you again and tell you how much we appreciate it. It was truly a gift. I wish I had a chance to meet you because I can't imagine how wonderful both of you all are to have such a beautiful place.

A Beautiful, Comfortable Home - Best Rental We Have Had in Santa Fe!
I almost hate to give this review because I want to keep this place a secret! But in all fairness to the most gracious owners I will do so. This home felt like going home the minute you walk in. It did not feel like a rental. The owners shared so much of their beautiful home with us. Everything you could ever want was there. The heated floors in the master bath were a real treat. The fireplace worked beautifully. The house is set up so well. The other couple who went with us stay up later so they took the bedroom adjacent to the living area. We get up early so we took the bedroom adjacent to the kitchen. I cannot even begin to describe how beautiful the home is and the beds!!!!! Heavenly. The owner called several times before our visit and after we arrived to make sure we were not in need of anything and to make any suggestions for restaurants, etc. The management company was quick to respond and very easy to work with during the booking and checkout process. The home is so convenient to everything. We definitely want to stay here in the warmer months as we are sure the gardens are beautiful at that time. We have been going to SF for years and try to stay somewhere different each time to get a feel of the different areas, however we agree that this will be our go to place as long as it is available! I am ready to come back again!! Thank you again for a wonderful stay.
