Just moved in about a month ago and still with the staff changes, the Avesta team made the moving process super smooth and easy for me. My apartment looks great, they have been super good at answering my questions! LOVE MY NEW HOME!!

This community was bought out recently. Our move in was a distaster. They didn't have it professionally cleaned . Dead insects and poor paint jobs. Some kind of stains in the sink we witnessed a huge flood from a pipe in another building so now we have to get flood insurance. Parking is a joke . Literally only compact cars can park comfortably and if you have a large car you have to beat everyone to the parking or pay for a spot . People also don't pick up after the pets they own. I've witnessed people let their dogs urinate away in the halls . Right after they do it I grab my Clorox urine and spray it right in front of them just so they know it's not cool and it's gross. Maintenance also takes forever to come out . Do not move here whatever you do just don't do it .

One star is too generous. The application process turned I to a disaster, staff was sloppy, had absolutely no drive. Made promise to me to get me into their apartment ASAP and nothing, had to move everything into storage because they didn't have my room ready. I would highly recommend that people stay away from this hell hole.

Honestly, place was nice, but some staff was really bad. been living here for almost 1 year. everytime we ask for repairs it will take couple of days or even weeks to do it. you really need to remind them and follow-up all the time for them to take action. Did referred someone into signing a lease, and did not able to get the refund because staff forgot to upload the documents i signed. its been almost 3 months hasnt able to get the refund bonus.

MILITARY: DO NOT RENT HERE. Especially if you think you may get orders on the fly. I rented here while in tech school. I told the person that my next orders may not be given to me immediately. She said it was fine. I was told I could put my 30 day notice in and give them my orders when I received them and until then, they would use the dates off of my first set. This person no longer works here. So my 30 day notice has been denied and Im leaving in 1 month for Florida. Im now scrambling trying to get my base to push the orders into arrows. If I would have known this would be an issue, I would not have rented here.

I've lived here awhile now. All the other reviewers comments are true. There have been small improvements, but the entry gates are broken 90% of the time, the dog pee smell is very noticeable, the garbage area is locked. We pay $25 a month for garbage and recycling pick up. Now, they are refusing to pick up the cardboard recycling. They've added a note to the garbage shoot area in the building to not place the recycling in the garbage shoot room. Well, lets see. I'm paying for this pick up, yet you break the lease terms by not picking up part of the recycling. If I stopped paying for part of the garbage/recycling $25 fee, they would most definitely charge me a late fee. Their communication is still lacking in all areas. Rent at your own risk.

I lived here for three years while I was in college. I was one of the first residents here and I've seen the building grow. This was my first complex I lived in. I loved it because it was close to school and it was modern. But while I lived here, I had problems and since I lived here for so long, you're going to get a long list of experiences. The first day I moved in, the AC was out. A couple of months later, my bike was stolen. I later moved into a one bedroom with a view of the resort pool. Great view until the summer comes and there's screaming children while you're trying to study. The walls were thin. You could hear everything including your neighbors. I always had a silverfish problem while living here. They blended with the grey walls. I worked nights and had to start carrying pepper spray since the gate was always broken and the complex is surrounded by motels that cater to homeless and prostitutes (yes I've seen one) and we had loiters come in. Sometimes at night, sometimes hanging by the pool. I even had my car cover stolen. I found it on someone else's car. When I told the police and showed them the car, it was actually reported stolen. So yes, someone stole a car and parked in on the complex I lived in. After I graduated I got an opportunity to live in Los Angeles. When it was time to figure out if I was renewing my lease, I told them no since I was going away. Reminder: I don't look at my contract every day or have it memorized and this was my first complex I've lived in, I thought my verbal response was good enough. When I started moving, I was told that I had to write them a 60 day notice. I couldn't afford paying rent for two more months and I thought we agreed to consider this as a skip. The next day I got an eviction notice. The 1111 ruined my credit over miscommunication. So don't waste your money. There are plenty of nice apartments in San Antonio.

Love it here. I get all the perks of being downtown without having to pay an arm and leg for rent. The apartments are very modern and spacious, and they have elevator access which makes living on the fourth floor ideal. I probably use their gym more than any other amenity. It has more than the typical apartment gym set up, allowing you to get a full workout in. They even keep it stocked with waters and clean towels too. The maintenance team are really good guys too. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking to live in an affordable place close to downtown.

We toured this place a year ago, and then when we had to move this past spring, we ended up signing the lease over the phone. The office / leasing team was fantastic. Everything was ready on time and we got exactly what we needed from them. There has recently been a change in management, and this new crew has been even better than the last group. Little details like complimentary water bottles at the gym, brunch on Saturdays, free Starbucks machine, etc make this apartment complex a great place to live at. Also...just the location alone is a reason to live here! Youre right next to Target, HEB, Walmart, so many good restaurants and convenient gas stations. If youre contemplating living here, definitely take the time to come and walk through here. The floor plans are awesome and the closet space and bathrooms are super spacious. You wont go wrong deciding to live here!!

Ive had such a great experience renting at the 1111. The staff alone is outstanding, professional and very helpful with any questions or concerns that arise. They seem to go above and beyond when it comes to keeping everyone here satisfied! They do a wonderful job bringing the community together with all the events planned throughout the year. This honestly has been my best experience renting with any complex just all around. I would recommend this place 10/10 times to anyone wanting a place to call home!

DO NOT move here. Me and my roommate lived here for one year, it was absolutely awful. Management is incompetent. We always had several issues in our apartment with maintenance, they don't up keep the buildings. Noisy, and hallways always smell and do not get properly cleaned. I wouldn't even give them one star. We have now moved into Alcove Apartments, MUCH BETTER establishment and the staff there make your moving experience friendly and smooth! Do not waste your money here, you do not get what you're paying for. Then they try and give excuses to hold onto your deposits after you leave. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

We have had an awesome experience renting at the 1111. The staff is always happy to see us, polite, and super helpful! They have been super speedy to help when we have any maintenance issues. We really enjoy the community events they plan for us, helping us get to know our neighbors. Honestly this is the best place we have ever rented, and it feels like home.

I have had a great experience at 1111. I moved to San Antonio a few months ago and feel right at home. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I love the Alamo Heights location, which is quiet but close to downtown. The complex has great amenities and a quiet peaceful vibe. The finishes in the units are very nice, modern, and sleek. I have had a few things break, but all of my maintenance requests have been filled in a timely manner. I feel like the staff really makes an effort to get to know you and form a community vibe.

For what you pay in rent the apartments are cheaply made, very obvious "they" cut corners. The kitchen cabinets and bathroom cabinets aren't even wood they are laminated junk! The premises is filthy, from dog poop outside on sidewalks to urine in the elevator. Stopped taking elevator so I walked four flights of stairs, which turned comical because in one instance there was trash in the stairwell well over a month, I finally took photos to send to office. Office staff at best gets one star and that's a high ranking.

Me and a partner went to visit family here and the apartments were quiet and peaceful and clean. Very creative design of the floors throughout. The inside was polished with nice amenities. Unfortunately the price rating the family mentioned was over the limit for the unit. It's more bachelor mood. Suggestion: mixture of things children can do wouldn't hurt.
