It was a better place when I moved in ~2 yrs back. However in the last few months, esp. after the new management took it, the management has been very poor and unprofessional. They want the money on exact 1st of month but do not act on the matters regarding apartment in timely manner. All staffs including one of the managers are very unprofessional and rude. 2 months back, my dryer was not working and they took weeks to respond to it. Me and my wife called them >10 times for first week, the answer we got every time was "AC at other places is bad and your issue is NOT an emergency, so you will have to wait." We were travelling out of town for next 10 days so I had to go to Laundry store to dry my clothes. They apparently looked from outside (don't know what they did BUT they did not go inside and look at the dryer itself) and said that the issue was fixed. When I came back, I found that the dryer was still not working. I had to go to the office on 4th week, literally yell at the manager and they immediately sent out a person in minutes to look at the dryer (the maintenance guy then reached my place before I could reach there myself). A switch was changed and in minutes, it looked like the dryer was working! The guy left but later after an hour I found that the dryer would not stop until I pulled out the door myself. I called the office as soon as I found out. I was told that now I had to be on the list again and they would come and look at my problem when my time came (based on their priority list). A maintenance guy came to my place to fix that issue after weeks, after I had left the place! I also had a problem with the blinds of my window- they never came to fix it while I was there. Then I left the place as I was moving out of the town anyway. I have left the place clean and in the best possible state (except the blinds, of course). I am not sure how much of the security deposit (which is around 750) will I get back. The manager told me it takes almost a month for them to figure it out (really?). Based on my friends experience, I have known that they give multiple reasons regarding wear and tear and return very less- will wait what they do in my case. I was looking at recent reviews and read similar experiences from my other neighbors in recent past. Feels bad that one of the places I liked turned into like this now.

Hello-Club Meridian apartments under new management severely lacks proper customer service. I have lived in my apartment for total of 5 years now. They haven't painted the apartments in ages. Equipment in the house such as washer, dryer breaks down and it takes them several weeks to fix it. In one of the instances, washer broke and they took around 4 weeks to resolve after making several phone calls to apartment management. I had to go to East Lansing to dry the clothes. They have no Service Level agreements to resolve resident maintenance issues in timely manner. It is about increasing rent and charging extra money for water, trash and sewer with little or no regards to maintenance of apartment buildings. No one picks up the phone at Club Meridian sometimes neither responds to emails. Phone answering systems is old and outdated. They only call you if they need rent money or renters insurance policy. It was way better under previous management (Eyde Company). They roll out online application for resident use, but there is no training nor communication plan. If Club Meridian management make mistake then it is ok, but there is severe punishment if resident makes mistake. I went to India and Europe to visit family for 3 weeks. It was to my horror when I came back from vacation that car was towed from the car port. I had to call On-star, Meridian Township police department and Insurance company to inform them that car was stolen. I had to call Club Meridian apartment to check if anyone had seen the car. To my surprise they told me that car was towed since I parked the car at the wrong spot. The towing company charged me around $325 to tow and store the car for couple of days. $325 is total of money in this day and era when everyone is living paycheck to paycheck. It is extremely difficult to deal with the management at Club meridian. They should send broadcast email to residents when resident parks the car at the wrong spot instead of towing the car. Broadcast emails are sent to everyone at the place where I work since employees frequently park cars at the wrong spot. it is about policy and procedure rather working with residents to ensure "Superior Living Experience". On final note, they keep sending separate bills for rent and trash etc for every month which adds to admin tasks for residents. Also in the past they mentioned that never received the rent, but money was deducted from bank account. They charged late fee for this. It is simply frustrating living at this place. I plan to move out soon given my personal experience. There are lots of good apartments around Okemos. I wouldn't recommend to stay at the Club Meridian. I would give them 0/5 rating, but google won't allow it. Please stay away.

Customer service is not good, the previous Eyde company resolve the issue much faster and quality, after the new owner taken over the club meridian apartments We are facing serious issue with appliances and every now and then appliances(esp Washer and Dryers) stop working and front office is doing their best to get it repaired and resolve the issues in weeks time but this is become very frequent issue. the repairs are become very temporary solutions and it good for week or two and then same issue happening again. Thanks for understanding, its very tuff to raise complaint every now and then follow-up with front office team to resolve the issue.
