I felt the need to write a review, because I can not believe the reviews I am reading . My spouse and I have been with BPM for almost 5 years now, two different houses . This is the most PHENOMENAL property management company in Norman! The first house we lived in that they managed , the owner suddenly needed to recover for a family member so we had to move fairly quickly. I had been a horrible accident that almost claimed my life, so at the time I was in a wheel chair. Lydia and her staff worked very hard to get us into a new home as fast as they could with the circumstances at hand. We also have a Pitbull, they have vouched for us in both houses that our dog had training and would not be a burned to the house or surroundings to the owner of both houses . Our maintenance requests are handled promptly, I have even added upgrades to our rentals and provided the material and they provide the handy man to carry out the upgrade ( with no charge) . This company cares, great customer service and the staff is wonderful too. I would recommend BPM in a heart beat! We are still currently with this company as well.

I will never rent from BPM again, nor will I recommend anyone to rent from this company. Let me just start by saying that the interior of this house was fairly clean when I moved in but I had to do a little cleaning after moving in, (which I normally do anyway, not a big deal.) The lawn was absolutely overgrown upon moving in. It took them up until the afternoon of my move in date for them to come out and mow. This also didn't seem like a big deal to me until I was charged a $100.00 "lawn fee" (no other details shown on my statement) when I moved out. I was also charged a $75.00 "cleaning fee" (no other details shown on my statement) when I moved out. When I emailed to ask about my charges, Lydia wrote me back in a pretty unfriendly manner and included one photo of how my property looked upon my move in date- the photo did not show the yard or any interior, it was just a photo of the house. The other photos she sent me (which were apparently "4 of several examples" of why I did not receive my full deposit) did not show up and when I asked her to resend the photos she never responded. I finally got the photos to open on a computer and the example she gave me of the yard was from JUNE 10th, which was 11 days after I moved out.....of course the lawn is going to be over grown at that point, I mowed on MAY 31 and the lawn is made up of mostly weeds. Apparently I was also responsible for trimming all of the hedges and trees at the property because it was a photo of a crate myrtle??? (Hedge trimming was not included in the lease which stated that I was responsible for taking care of mowing the grass.) The photos from the interior were a spot inside the oven (the oven was in the same shape when I moved in)- my mom spent 45 minutes cleaning said oven with oven cleaner, and I assume it was a grease spot. There was a slightly dusty fan, and crumbs on one of the window sills. So basically what I am saying is prepare to be nickel and dimed for every little last thing even if you spend 4 hours cleaning and don't bother mowing the lawn because they will not be out to check on the house until several days after you move out and you will most likely be charged no matter what. I wish I could leave zero stars. And if there is one lesson I have learned from this it is to take pictures when you move in and out of a new property because unlike ANY OTHER rental company or landlord, these people do not do walk through's. They absolutely would love to take your money and will find any tiny reason to do so.

Be prepared to get nickeled and dimed when your lease is up! We rented a property in Norman through BPM last year and had no issues WHILE we were renting. Upon ending our lease with BPM, there was no walk-through. I followed the move-out checklist that was given and turned in the keys as instructed. The only thing I will admit I forgot to do, was change the airfilters (that were extremely dirty when we moved in, but we did not take the time to climb up and look at them upon signing off on our move-in form). Obviously, I was very surprised to see that BPM charged us an extra couple hundred dollars (taken out of our security deposit) a couple weeks after turning my keys in. These charges were for things such as $65 for changing 2 small airfilters, $15 in batteries for changing out batteries in the smoke detectors (which were in good working condition when the keys were turned in), $40 for light bulbs (which were also all in good working condition when the keys were turned in). Lydia emailed with me a few times claiming that she would check into the inquiries, but then failed to return my call when I called to directly talk to her about the issues. I'm deeply disappointed in this rental company and would caution anyone looking to rent to set aside extra money for what this management company will "find wrong" when you move out. Especially since there is no walk-through done with anyone from the company... they can claim that lights were out, smoke detectors were chirping, etc and without any solid proof that they actually were.

I've had great experience with BPM. They've always responded quickly to any issues and conducted quick make-readies and re-lease when necessary. They're fair with tenants and keep properties in good condition. I also greatly appreciate their detailed accounting of all expenses. Highly recommend them.

This company could get five stars but they decided that our relationship should be severed. I allowed them to manage a rental while I lived out of state. When I decided to put the house on the market, they told my tenants that they would have to move out at the end of the lease even though we would have allowed them to go month-to-month. It is quite obvious that they were angry with our decision to allow a different realtor to market the house because they shut off all services rather than putting them into a landlord connection under my name. Now my realtor is forced to show the house during 100 degree weather with NO UTILITIES on. I would call this passive-agressive tactics that are not at all about community and the good of everyone involved. They made a lot of money off of my rental for 2 years! I would not recommend BPM to anyone. Our current, local Norman realtor used to send them business but she will no longer do this.
