One star only because I have to give it a star to post. This place is a joke. I was fined $50 for placing my recycling outside of the recycling container because it was overflowing with garbage. I went to talk to the office and one of the leasing agents gave me the utmost disrespect and attitude regarding this. She told me that "we gave out a ton of these fines and the managers said we are upholding them. There is no negotiation." So I asked to see a manager. It was clear where the leasing agent got her unprofessionalism from because the manager was no better. I was blamed multiple times for "littering" when my recycling was in the trash room, not in the hallways or common areas. I then asked her how having overflowing recycling bins in the trash room reflects on the apartment building. She responded with "it reflects on the tenants because they can't throw their recycling INSIDE the bin." If I put my recycling in the bin, the bin would have spilled on the floor. During my conversation with the manager, she proceeded to laugh at me and pulled out her empty garbage bin and said "its just like if you threw the garbage next to this garbage can, not in it. Thats not disposing of it properly." Well, if the garbage can was full, the garbage definitely would not be going into the bin. Whoever wrote the violation took a picture of the pizza box that had my name on it that was sitting near the recycling bin. In the photo, pop bottles, cardboard boxes, etc. were sitting outside the recycling bin too. Doesn't this give you a hint as to the fact that the recycling bin is full? The manager then told me that maintenance is there 7 days a week to empty the recycling bin and respond to notices. Well, they might want to make sure that guy is doing his job because if he is emptying the recycling bin every day, there should be no reason that it overflows. Further, the notice was given to me 2 days after it was written. Directly on the notice it says "must be paid within 48 hours." How can I pay a fine that I didn't even know I had gotten until the day it was due? Overall, the staff here treated me with an abundance of disrespect. They were extremely unprofessional and very rude. I hope nobody has to encounter a management team like this. It is clear that with a manager who is unprofessional, the people working under the manager will too be very unprofessional.
