All in all, it was a pretty great experience. Sure, it was a little on the pricey end, but basically the same cost as living in a dorm. I had very good experiences with the management once we were all moved in and they were accessible whenever I needed. There were only a few negatives.
1. The couch cushions were horrible and were always "shedding." However, management did have an order in for replacements so I'm glad they were on top of the situation.
2. The garage door would be broken once in a while but I never had any issue from it and there's not much they can do about it. They took every step to notify us quickly.
3. The cable quality was pretty bad. Definitely not HD. Really only impacted us when it came to sports.
4. Wireless Internet was unreliable. However, I'm not sure what the cause was. It could've been our router. It could've been configuration settings. All I know is I used Ethernet and it was top notch.
5. When we moved in, they were having a lot of difficulty with whatever company was helping them set up, so our apartment was still dirty and there was only one bed, not a bunk bed. However, when we talked to a manager, it was resolved immediately and she really did help out a lot.
6. Over the summer before moving in, they were difficult to get in touch with at the office. To some degree that's understandable because they were really busy during that time. Also, I was able to get in touch with an employee through another phone line.
Can you handle those faults? I could and I had a great time. Sure, it can be a little costly, but the location was great and it felt like home quickly. Never experienced distracting noise, online payments were easy, staff and management were accessible, and every fault was reasonable. There are far worse places to stay and I don't know another apartment that I'd recommend over Sydney when you factor in location, cost, and management.
