I have lived at The Grove for 6 months and I am happy with my experience. The staff in the office and the maintenance staff are all incredibly welcoming and great to work with. All maintenance requests have been taken care of within 24 hours of making the request! I am pleased with my time here and look forward to the rest of my lease.

If i could give a negative score I would. My girlfriend Just moved out of this place after living there a year, she was a very good tenant, was never late on payments, was quiet while she was there. The complex is in the process of updating everything so they can jack up the prices, she was in a unit that hadnt been upgraded. She paid a $300 refundable deposit on move in. When she left, she spent literally 2 days cleaning the place to make sure it was spotless for the next tenants, she vacuumed and Shampooed the carpeting. I do professional residential and commercial cleaning for a living and I inspected the place on her last day, the place looked amazing. Now these guys are calling her saying they are keeping the $300 deposit AND charging her an additional $300 because the carpet was "destroyed". This is completely ridiculous and we'll be taking them to court for extortion. STAY AWAY

We stopped in to look at units and ask about pricing. The lobby smelled musty and moldy and the staff member was running 20 minutes late for our appointment. The units called "renovated" were misleading--with a few outdated changes but not what was advertised. The fully renovated units were slightly better but still not as nice as advertised. The units were full of covered up water damage and the utility closet we opened was covered in black mold. The staff member was unprofessional at best and rude and poorly trained if I'm being honest. These units, even fully renovated should be rented for $600 at most--and that includes all the extras for nonrefundable fees and added pet rents. Instead, the rent would be closer to $850-900 all in. These people should be ashamed for taking advantage of people who can't get approved for other complexes. It doesn't seem like these units would be good for people's health. The only positive is this placed seemed safer and with less bugs than some of the other places we looked at around the same price.

Extremely overpriced for the quality of living. Neighbors are terrible, drunk girls coming home at all hours of the night, stomping upstairs outside of my apartments. Have been threatened by neighbors only to be laughed at by the manager when she was let known about the situation. My dog has been antagonized by several neighbors. Car radios are constantly blaring at all hours, but more during the late hours of night (my windows rattle it is so loud.) The garbage area is disgusting, constant over flow, several times there has been meat left outside of the compacter so tons of maggots and flies everywhere. Dog poop everywhere, found some on my patio a few days ago. My apartment has several things wrong with it, including how is constantly has leaks that have yet to be fixed or even looked at, every time it rains since the gutters are so bad it all comes into my bedroom from the open part where the electric box outside is. I get the drainage in my sink every time my upstairs neighbor does things in his kitchen. Ants have always been a problem, no matter how many things we have tried or how many times we have eliminated them. Pretty much the only thing good about my apartment is that I love the vinyl flooring throughout the place and we were lucky enough to get an over-sized washer and dryer. I also like the location of where these apartments are located and for this area the price is reasonable, but as I said before, the price is way too much when you look at the quality of living around this place.

The only thing that made living here bearable was the fact that most of the employees/staff were friendly and helpful. That said, the rent was way too high for the quality of living. Postal packages were misplaced on more than one occasion. The pool hours were sporadic and unpredictable. The laundry room was always a mess, with puddles of water on the floor, trash cans full and several machines "out of service." The workout equipment was in terrible condition as well. I was a very good tenant. I was quiet, clean, paid my rent on time, and followed all the rules, but that didn't matter when I had to relocate out-of-state after fulfilling 13 months of my 14 month lease. They hit me with every possible penalty fee you could imagine, resulting in my last months rent of $700 morphing into $2400 due to fees. I just finished graduate school and am barely making ends meet on a postdoctoral fellow budget, so as you can imagine I couldn't come up with $2400. In a matter of a couple months they turned me over to collections. BEYOND frustrated with this place! I would avoid moving here at all costs. You're likely to regret it in the end.
