A peaceful place to be comfortable fishing good walking tennis court walking trail park for the kids lots of shade home
Great place to go for a walk or bike ride or judt to sit and watch the river. Limited parking.
Clean! Been going there since I was a kid. Great running/biking track. Neat little playground for children. Beautiful sight of the city over the water from the bank.

Great little park to go to. You can fish the TN river from the bank, play on the playground that has swings, monkey bars and more, play a family game of baseball, soccer, frisbee, or just lay in the grass on a blanket and watch the clouds pass by along with the small airplanes taking off and landing from the local Island Home Airport just down the road. There's also a bamboo area that kids play in and access to the greenway that goes to Ijams nature park, quarry, and more. I would recommend going to this park. It's also clean and maintained.

Maybe the best park in Knoxville. It's a 2 mile Greenway trip from Ijams, beautiful view of the river and downtown, great playground with shade, good trees to hammock by the water, and the fishing is decent. 4 stars as parking can be tough on a busy day and there are no bathrooms.
The 3.5 mile Will Skelton greenway has quarter mile markers along the trail, making it great for runners, bikers and walkers.

Great neighborhood secret on the river, greenway connects it to Ijams, Mead's Quarry, and Forks of the River WMA which has the famous sunflower fields
Neeeedddddsssss some sort of bathroom! Where do you expect the kids and parents for that matter to use the restroom? Portable Bathrooms would be a start.
Great views of downtown Knoxville and the river. A excellent place to spend an afternoon watching planes take off and land at DKX. Fairly simple park but decently maintained.
