DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS TERRIBLE APARTMENT COMPLEX!
Our AC was out for 9 days straight. due to negligence and there being only 1 boiler room for the ENTIRE COMPLEX. with temperatures outside reaching 102 degrees and reaching 95-100 degrees INSIDE THE APARTMENT. After that issue was FINALLY resolved the AC unit began leaking water all over our carpet. so i called maintenance to come out and fix the issue (keep in mind every time i make a maintenance request i have to follow up with them 2-3 to even get someone in our apartment) once the repair man took the front face of the ac unit off it revealed a huge layer of BLACK MOLD constantly blowing into our apartment. so i went to management to discuss them adjusting the rent for the AC being out for A THIRD OF THE MONTH and management was extremely rude and refused to do anything about it besides reimburse me for "up to 20 dollars" only if i could provide a receipt of a fan that i bought within the time the AC was out. the head property manager was extremely rude as well and responded with "well we had to deal with no AC in the office so" and had a very dirty look on her face like she had way better things to be doing other than listening to me. this place has roaches, rats, and all kind of pests EVERYWHERE. all the management cares about is taking your money and going home. there has been MULTIPLE instances of people SHOOTING OFF GUNS IN THE PARKING LOT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. when i brought that to the managements attentions all they said was "oh well we never heard anything about that so were not gonna do anything about it" the laundry rooms are only accessible 50% of the time because there are frequently switching the locks on them and not telling anyone. and this is only the tip of the iceberg of the problems i have with this place. once again DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY IS THIS DISGUSTING COMPLEX. STRAIGHT GHETTO TRASH and i pay over 1000 dollars a month to live here. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. i will be contacting a lawyer to discuss what can be done about these issues. this place will tell you what you want to hear and do nothing about it. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL THIS PLACE DOSENT EVEN DESERVE 1 STAR

I have been living here for over four years and up until last month was pretty happy. I was charged an insane 153 dollars for not having renters insurance when I did actually. My name on my lease is a slightly different spelling that I have on my progressive renters insurance and they have never had a problem with this for the other years I have been living here. I went and proved this the same day. I was promised my august 2018 bill would be credited towards Cedar Runs blunder. I wasn't. I'm very unhappy with the management and this completely lacking of morals fine for this complex and will be taking this to court if I dont get some sort of response.

The staff doesn't care for our problems at all and there are a disgusting amount of roaches. Ive been living here at this complex for 2 years. The accommodations are great! The maintenance guys come right away everytime I have an issue. The management/reality team has changed over the years, but I have never disliked one of them. They are always helpful, and do whatever they can to get me what I need! I was really sad when one of our favorite office people, named Moran, left. But I am so happy to still go In the office and be greeted with a huge smile and welcome hands! There is a new guy named Aldo, and he is the nicest, happiest person. He had helped me get things printed and pick up packages; and knowing that asking a lot of favors can be annoying, he did it with a huge smile, and asked me about my day etc. I am very satisfied with cedar run apartments and maxx properties. This is a great place to live. Highly recommend.

At first we thought it was nice here but then we realized there was a drug ring above us, the plumbing is horrid, a crackhead crawled down from the gangsters apartment above me & was halfway in my back door when I grabbed my Glok he ran & this was the very first night,everything started breaking after 3 months, there is always a sewage smell from sinks & bath tub...also because of people above us there was a heavy chemical smell at times that gave my hubby & I headaches & all of the traffic & noise we didn't sleep good for months. So if you are a Gangster live here because they allow drug activity here & like for grown men who should be working hang out in the parking lot. We were not going to pay them 1 more cent or late fee for that overpriced, unsafe environment. They don't care about real people & Maxx Properties owns all ghetto apartments so BEWARE! & Valerie Munoz in the office who claims to be the boss is rude to pretty white women& laughed at me & said the drug ring was not her problem & that I needed to call the cops. So we just didn't pay rent so we could go to Court & when I told the judge all of the issues we ended up getting 2 months free rent until we found a place & we were given more than enough time to find it! But we found something quick & moved out immediately! Now we are in a secured building on the top floor & there are people like us all around!

Read the lease before you sign. Was told a few things in person that differed from what was on the lease. A LOT of paperwork, read it all. I was passively rushed to sign each page and I had to ask to read what I was signing. Dont let your friends park here, as they will most likely get towed. Towing costs were almost $500 for a friend. Lights in my apartment randomly dont work. Only heat during the winter, so if there is a hot day during the winter (like today) you are out of luck. Nice people in the front office.

I've lived here just over a year now and I haven't had any major issues. I was very hesitant to move here based on previous reviews, but I am so glad that I did. It's a good updated apartment, especially for the price. The heat works well in the winter, and the actual works well in the summer. The gym and pool are open throughout most of the day and later evenings. It is a very pet friendly building. The laundry area is small but not super busy so it's exactly what I need. They just started locking the laundry facilities and passing out keys to residents, which is a nice security feature. The package reception is also super great. I frequently order things online and have yet to lose a package. The office staff have been nothing but friendly in my experience. Moran was the one who initially gave us the tour and helped us sign the lease. I would highly recommend working with him. I've only had a few simple maintenance issues (lightbulb changes, etc) and they were taken care of within a week. They have been working on the hot water recently, but always give a couple days notice before shutting off water so it hasn't been inconvenient at all. I personally haven't noticed any issues with the water, but I don't mind the repair since they give good notice about it. This place is walking distance from King Soopers, which is awesome. It is also right next to 83 route bus stop, which makes transportation very convenient. I would recommend at least giving this place a chance, I know I'm glad that I did!

Her firsts answer is always NO, unfortunately every time I need something she is there, if you are talking to other agent she gets on the conversation, she is the reason for me moving out, I can't stand a person This bad, I am always open to know not everyone is the same, but when rudness gets on the way that's when I have enough. If we take her out of the picture, Is a nice place to live for the $$.

Maintenance doesnt fix anything. Took two weeks to get a towel bar fixed. Everything is falling off in the shower. Pretty sure theres mold on the ceiling thats just been painted over. No smoke detectors in the units which Im almost positive is illegal. Just a long row of them down the hallway so if something inside catches fire, itll take the smoke coming out from under the door and filling the hallway to activate them. Sometimes the hot water works, sometimes it doesnt. Pretty sure theres also a dog that someone is claiming to be a service animal that gets left outside on its balcony and is constantly howling (both hot and cold weather). Management honestly could care less it seems. Other complexes owned by MAXX seem to have better reviews. Maybe its just the management and maintenance at this specific location thats horrible . They get away with it because people need a cheap place to live since rent is getting ridiculously high here in Denver. Honestly this place should only be a last, last resort and even at that theres probably better last resorts out there.

They get away with being such a terrible complex because they know that no resident lives here because they like these apartments, but because the rent is cheap and there is no other option. If you enjoy hot water in the winter or a consistently functioning heater, don't move in here. If you enjoy having all of the outlets working in your apartment without half of them going out from time to time, dont move in here. If you'd like to live in a place without 30+ stray cats everywhere, go ahead and move in. If you are a health conscious person look into the health affects of living in a mold infested complex, living in an apartment with lead based paint, and in a place with asbestos.. because you wont want to move in here. In the past year I have lived here I been sick 9 times, which is absurd considering I always eat healthy, religiously take vitamins, and go to the gym at least 5 times a week and have for years. I am a very healthy person and have never been sick this frequently.

You cannot count on being contacted when your packages arrive. Lastly, the setup is a community situated around a little pond. There are many people, which means many dogs. Barking. The apartment complex obviously cannot do anything about this, but it is quite annoying. If you just want a cheap place to live in Denver, then it might be a good choice. Just plan on uncomfortable living conditions in the summer and winter. Also, the shower temperature regulation is a joke.

Absolutely horrible! Cars vandalized in covered paid parking, homeless men living in the laundry facilities, no control over use of heat or AC, the list goes on and on. Not once did they ever address situations after countless complaints. We supplied proof of homeless men sleeping in laundry room with a urine bucket. Videos, pictures, emails, and
nothing was ever addressed on their behalf. All they care about is collecting your $. Not a safe environment at all. Someone is going to end up assaulted or worse allowing homeless people to live in the laundry room. They said they would lock it at night but never did. Not worth one star! I was excited to move in here, seeing the location and amenities that came with it. However, after only a short few months I realized why this place had such low reviews. The staff is awesome, and very friendly and thats why I gave it two stars. However, everything seems very cheaply done. The drawers break off when you use them, the towel hanger breaks off with just a little towel added onto it. The lighting outside in the halls at night if very dim and because the community is not gated it does not feel safe. My boyfriends car, had nice wheels and rims on it, when one morning he went out to drive it and all of his wheels were gone and his car was placed on top of bricks. Now of course it is not the apartments fault, even though lighting is low and there are no cameras to catch the thieves, but when we called to ask them about footage they told us there was nothing they could do. Understandable, until they told us they would still not get cameras in the parking lot because we felt as if everyone else was at danger to this crime. There was no notice sent around. I would love to see some change around here because it is a great location for a great price, but safety of guests is crucial.

We moved to Denver and went with the cheapest apartment we could find so we could save up and buy a house and for that purpose sure it's good.
Im a commercial plumber and there is so many things that this place should get shut down for. Exposed LIVE wire leaks that they patch with tape.

The management company does nothing for you. I have to pay for utilities for other people and still don't get what we need. Don't waste your time or especially your money on this place.

Personally I would never refer anyone to this complex. Since I moved in last May it has been nothing but trouble dealing with the water being turned off, the laundry machines being replaced, the heat not working, the lack of cleanliness around the halls and in the units; the list goes on. Not to mention the staff is very unfriendly and not knowledgeable or helpful. I hate it here. Consider any other option before this place, really. For the price we pay the value is definitely not equal.

*NO heat (issue ongoing and unresolved since November)
*Flooding and constant problems with plumbing and pipes causing residents to have NO water (ongoing issues including but not limited to: busted seals on pipes, frozen lines and leaks in pipes located in the interior of walls, leaks from central air units, broken boilers/water heaters and sewer backups during heavy rain and negative degree temperatures)
*No communication with residents and lack of urgency with regards to complaints involving loss of utility services like water & heat!
If a complaint is not submitted in writing and it's not documented. Sometimes maintenance doesn't even show back up to resolve the issue.
And the hall now smells like mold!!!
(Renters insurance required because you NEED it living here!!!)

I moved in a couple months ago and really have no complaints. The apartment was exactly what they said it would be (website). New appliances, flooring, fixtures, etc. It is an older complex so they are trying to fix it up and update the apartments inside and out, as well as the grounds, which I think is a good thing. So yes, you have some construction here and there to deal with.
For the price, the apartment is a pretty good size. I was a little surprised actually. But again, it is an older complex, so... Location is pretty convenient. Plenty of places in walking distance (King Soopers) and it's on a major bus line.
It is a kid friendly place, so you do have some kid noise to deal with. And with it being a "complex" you also have some neighbor/dog noise but not as bad as some other reviews have stated. And I've not had any issues with the staff. They've been pretty friendly and helpful.
If you're looking for an affordable apartment (that's what I was going for), this is a pretty good place for the price and what you get. Sure you can find a newer/nicer place, but you'll pay a lot more for the same things Cedar Run offers. Just saying... I looked.
