Please do yourself a favor and NOT rent here. Welcome to the Quarry! One of the top rated "luxury" apartments in Columbus! I've had a hard time understanding what luxury means until now.
I lived at the Quarry for two years and had one 1BR apartment. When you renew the lease, there at least $130 more over your original lease, and it means you will only live in there for 1 year if you think the price is way high.
Since living at the quarry I have had a terrible experience. I got to watch cracks in the walls and floor grow. Windows, faucets, and pipes all have constant issues. Where there are leaks there is mold. Tons of it. Bleach is your friend here.
At the Quarry, they love animals, especially insects! Your closet, corners, ceiling, and even your car make an excellent home for the dozens of spiders who share your space. You can clean the webs and kill the spiders every night and every morning you will wake up to more.
They will make these apartments seem like the greatest thing around, they're not.
Extremely expensive utilities. They're all electric, no gas. First of all, utilities are not included in the cost of rent. Utilities are managed by this company called "First Billing" and charge $81 per month for things like "community lighting" and sewer/water,trash. Our trash is a large dumpster that just gets piled in your front yard and smells everything up...This does not include your electricity, gas, or cable/Internet.
Want a gated community? Yeah we did too! we pay for a gated community. Luckily one out of the many sets of gates is closed. All the rest are open 24/7! Gym door is always propped open, so, again, no need for the key cards and because the gates were open, we never used key cards.
They are also now charging tenants $50 to rent out the movie theater and $150 for party room, which before was free as long as it was available. I feel as if this new management is simply "nickel and diming" the tenants instead of offering these amenities to their loyal residents for thanking for their business.
They also claim to have a work center with a fax machine and internet access but it's just 3 computers and a printer that doesn't even work 80% of the time.
I moved out and lost over all of my security deposit +$50 more all due to carpet, which was not new 2 years age when we moved in. Usually, if you live for 2 years, they won't charge you for the carpet cleaning since they need to replace it anyway.
They ask to write reviews for $25 gift card. Dont trust the good reviews.
