I love this property. It is very up to date with modern design. Extremely cheap compared to similar units that dont have half of the amenities, in the same area. Seriously, out of all the units in the price range I was looking at, this was the cheapest and nicest, but smallest which I did not mind. The maintenance staff is very friendly and so is management. I felt compelled to write a positive review because they were all negative.

I would give less of a rating but they don't offer zero. This experience has been very poor and unprofessional. Flats Chicago used to own then they sold properties to CLK Management. They now manage The Maynard at Winthrop in addition to many other properties. I cant believe that they conduct business like they do. They have no concept on how to address issues, nor how to communicate. I was never late with rent and I have paid rent early for the 2 years I lived there. They always treat me and act like they are doing me the favor. My advice to anyone; DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. Every time I sent in an email or letter to them, I am the person who had to follow up with them. Then they would tell me that they only had fragments of my communication and that I would have to send in the information again. I sent my info to 3 managers, no joke. In addition to the revolving door of management, they had a revolving door of staff as well. I have a paper trail of info in addition to a video of how they run their properties. Stay clear of this train wreck of a management company.

Terrible experience with CLK property management, and this building. The building was developed by FLATS, and sold to CLK after something happened with the FLATS company and management of this building at 5718 N Winthrop began to slip. I had been experiencing major problems with the heating equipment installed in my unit. I was the first tenant to move into my unit after the building was developed. Apparently cheap and faulty heating equipment was installed and my heating bill cost over $1 per SQUARE FOOT to heat during the winter months. Current management did not resolve the problem, and then the building was sold to CLK. RENTERS BEWARE. ALL FINISHES AND EQUIPMENT ARE THE SAME FROM THESE OLD FLATS BUILDINGS (@5718 N Winthrop, 5411 Winthrop, 4875 N Magnolia, 1325 W Wilson, 6134 N Kenmore, 5051 N Kenmore.) I have worked in this industry as a property manager for over 5 years and have never heard of such extreme heating costs. Now CLK has sent me to a debt collector to try to collect money that they say I owed FLATS from before they purchased these terrible investment buildings. The collections agency said many other people are in the same boat, and these accounts are not normal, and extreme. I provided the collections agency with written proof of the rental balance that CLK stated I owed them. However, the amount they are trying to collect is over 2x as much as what they told me in writing. THESE BUILDINGS MUST BE PROVING TO BE BAD INVESTMENTS OR CLK WOULD NOT BE SCRAMBLING TO TAKE MANY MANY TENANTS TO COLLECTIONS FOR ILLEGAL AMOUNTS. DONT LIVE HERE (5718 N Winthrop) or 5411 Winthrop, or 4875 N Magnolia, or 1325 W Wilson, 6134 N Kenmore, 5051 N Kenmore. This is only the surface of all of the problems encountered in this building.
