The gate is always broken so dont expect gated community. The neighbors are nice and the walls arent thin which is a plus. However, the crime is increasing. You can even use the Dropbox for rent anymore because of it. So dont live on the first floor.

My bedroom is by the stairs and all I hear every night is peopler running and stomping up and down the steps until like 3am. The people upstairs never sleeps. I wake up everyday with a bad headache. I haven't had a peaceful night sleep seen I moved here. I complained but it did not good, so I just don't say anything anymore. When you work a lot all you want is peace when you come home but you will not get it here. I made a bad decision to move here and now I'm stuck. I really hate all this noice every single night. Oh and the weekends are worst. I work day shift every other weekend and I really feel like I'm gonna lose my job because I'm so tired and late all the time. Please pray for me.

Just don't do it. I've lived here 3.5 years and the negative reviews are more than true. Where do I even begin... We recently had a drug dealer move in across from us. How do I know? He does drug deals in front of the building. It constantly smells like weed. The office doesn't care who lives here as long as they get their money. You won't be able to walk on the grass because of the amount of dog poop. People don't know how to park and the office won't do anything about it. Also, let's talk about the recent car break ins in out (un)gated neighborhood. Don't let the gate fool you, IT DOESN'T WORK AND HASN'T FOR MONTHS. Look close and that's a freaking gutter over the swing arm of the gate. Over the past 3 months I've heard about more than 5 cars getting broken into here. Walk the parking lots and you'll see broken glass everywhere. They'll constantly need to come into your apartment, which sucks for those of us who work and have pets. Trash will be everywhere outside and they don't care. And the worst part...THE MOLD!!! I swear that trailer parks don't have this kind of mold problem. Our closet doesn't stop growing it. We've had to throw out hundreds of dollars worth of clothes because of it. Mold will grow on anything you put in your closet! We were too afraid to tell management because we don't want to miss time off work so they can look at it and make us move our already cramped apartment around. I'm not the only one either, I've talked to at least 3 other people who've had problems with it. Live here if you want lung problems. They will raise your rent each year even if you've never missed a payment. They don't care. And if you want to move out, plan on paying $350 more dollars a month each month so you can put in a 30 day notice. They'll nickle and dime you on move out too. It's more expensive to move out than it is to move in. The 1/2 off first months rent is just so they can get you in to raise your rent. It's just not worth it. I recently moved out and have never been happier and can actually breathe clean air again. They'll comment on this and say they are sorry, but they aren't. They just want their money and that's it. If you really want to live here, walk around yourself(don't let them give you a tour), and ask some of the residents what they think. I guarantee you it will be the same as me. I lived in $500 dollar a month apartments that were nice.

Okay so the negative reviews ARE TRUE! The drug issues are a huge problem! In my unit, my neighbors below me smoked weed inside their home so the smell would rise up to my unit. Not only do I smell weed in my unit also outside our building. I complain and only a letter notice would be sent out to our building. In addition to the drug issue people's cars have been broken into and my new car's 30 day tags were stolen. If you have children and don't want to be in that type of atmosphere, this may not be the neighborhood for you. This is an honest review from someone who lives here. If the neighborhood could resolve these issues than I would not have any other complaints. There is a cop on duty majority of the time but we still have these issues.

Lived here for a year. The location is excellent with lots of places nearby to shop and eat as well as having easy access to 485, made commute to University really convenient. The staff, hands down, has been one of the best that I've worked with while renting. The only problems I actually encountered were with other people trying to sneak past the gate.

She needs to know that it's because of the tenants she has a job, and she's not doing us a favor when we come in to pay our bill. This is an average apartment complex and there are better options out there.

Please do not listen to those negative reviews about drug use in this neighborhood. For those are people who "claimed" to have had a bad experience, but then again you can't please everybody. If you go to both Anna's and Shell Bell's previous reviews they both had negative reviews on living and their experiences at other places as well. This is a great neighborhood that is heavily patrolled and neatly maintained. It's gated and the floor plans they offer are very spacious. The people that live in this area are beyond welcoming and friendly. It's near northlake mall and highway 77 and 485. I am a college student and I will say I love this apartment complex for I feel safe, comfortable, and overall satisfied with my decision to live here. I would most definitely recommend this complex to anyone who is looking for somewhere to conveniently stay, for a reasonable price, and that is very secure! 9/16/17

Where do I start with Auston woods? We've been living here less than a week and it's been nothing but problems. The model they show us was really nice but the apartment we got was filthy. The tubs were so disgusting, the vents are covered with dust and dirt which means the filters have not been changed. As a matter of fact my boyfriend took one of the vents off and he said it looked like it's been a long long time since they put a new filter in. The ceiling fan in the living room was just disgusting. My boyfriend ended up cleaning the vents and the fan himself because he got tired of waiting. They never mentioned to us that we would need to buy lamps as there are no lights in the living room and the two bedrooms. The light bulb in the kitchen is out which we told two people in the office about three times and we're still waiting for maintenance to come. They acted like they didn't know about the problem when my boyfriend called to remind them again. We couldn't even move our stuff in on the moving date because they provided us the wrong key and they were off so we couldn't contact them. We basically have to chase them down to get anything done. We are just so disappointed with Auston woods so far and how they do business here.

I dont recommend this apartments, if you are planning for short term after 1Year term. They are robbing tenants which short term extensions. Let me explain my situation. I took 1 Year Lease around $1100/Month, after 1Year I extended my lease for 6 Months due to my job conditions, as they dont have any job class. and they charged me around $1288/Month ( Almost $200 increment) , then again Due to my job issues, I planned to go with month on month basis, when i asked them about it, they are charging me +$300 every month with my current rent($1288) , so it almost charges $1600/Month if i go with month to month basis.This is like they are robbing tenants. for the same apartment, after 1/12 year, i have to pay almost $1600. When i asked about this, this is their policy. I am really frustrated about this type of behavior. finally i can say that this is not right way to do with tenants.

Be wary of this complex. They were built in 2 Phases. Phase 2 is immaculate and diverse. Phase 1 not so much. Phase 2 manicured lawns, no trash in sight. Phase 1 has grass, not lawns, and trash where you would expect to find it. Phase 2 external brick accents on buildings. Phase 1 all siding, some buildings in need of siding repair. They need to invest just as much time into Phase 1 as they do for Phase 2. Sad thing is you have to drive through Phase 2 to get to the shoddy Phase 1 units. Two pools and clubhouses on par with the Phase 2 units. Phase 1 you get to walk up to the hill to the Phase 2 pools and clubhouses, but you are welcome to use them. Also a noticeable lack of diversity in the Phase 1 tenants. Wink-wink.

All of the good reviews here have to be fake. I've been here 6 months and have had nothing but problems here. The apartments of course look nice when they first show them to you, but my apartment was disgusting upon moving in, and the carpet is super gross, and be ready to hear absolutely EVERYTHING from your neighbors around you. It literally sounds like they are moving and slamming things around ALL day and night, and being woken up all the time. Told the office about this numerous times, and am always told something will be done, but nothing ever is. There's always police here, drug deals in the parking lots, oh, and my apartment always smells like weed from one of my neighbors! Pretty great when you have kids So if you're looking for a good drug deal, move here!! Counting down the days for my lease to end....

My 1st year here I would have given a 5 star. The only reason I'm giving a 2 star is because the staff is friendly, otherwise it would be 1 star. They say they don't tolerate drug use in the apartments, however I've had people constantly knock on my door all hours of the night looking for drugs. You can get a contact high in my apt because people above me are always smoking. Not ok ever, but especially since I have kiddos who are being effected by it. I've let peope in the office know several times and I feel like they just don't care.

Great Apartments. Have been living here for a year and just renewed my lease to stay for another year. Very quiet neighborhood and close to the mall. Work orders are handled quickly and the staff in the front office are great!!! I would refer these apartments to anyone looking for a great safe area to stay.

Within one year, THREE mistakes about the water bills and ONE mistake about the rent. They simply blame the system and make mistakes again and again. Yes, it's not for their inconvenience. The management team is far beyond my worst expectation - specially Kristen and Ashley - the place of full of biat-ches now. For your convenience and health, please please please don't even consider this apartment.

They say they clean before you move in... that's a big joke. I find dog hair everyday and don't own a dog. I couldn't see the stove for all the grease. They automatically renew your lease with no warning at double the rate because they are scam artists just out to get your money. The maintenance sucks along with the parking. Don't let the huge bath tub fool you because the 5 gallon water heater can't heat enough water to fill it up. The vaulted ceilings just drive up your energy bill. Awful place to live, but you better make 50,000+ because they won't approve an application otherwise. Lastly, there's dog poo EVERYWHERE! Watch your step and your wallet.
