This is the second straight month of significant upticks in Cleveland, after July saw rents increase 5%. Santa Ana, CA also rose for the second-straight month, from $1,673 to $1,816 (8.5%), as did <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rentable.co\/columbus-oh\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Columbus, OH<\/a> (4.1%); Honolulu, HI (3.5%); and Baltimore, MD (3.4%).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The list of cities with the biggest rent decreases is also home to some familiar faces. For the second month in a row, Glendale, AZ, takes the crown, with rents dropping 9.5% to $673. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rentable.co\/st-paul-mn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">St. Paul, MN<\/a>, dropped 5.2%, to $1,067. Tulsa, OK (-4.6%), and Buffalo, NY (-3.8%), also reprised their places in the nation\u2019s top five rental decreases. The only newcomer to that esteemed company? <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rentable.co\/houston-tx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Houston, TX<\/a>, where the median one-bedroom price dropped 6.5%, from $1,184 to $1,107.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-12250 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.rentable.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/30124006\/Sept-2017-Highest-Rents-1024x769.png\" alt=\"Top 10 Highest Rents: September 2017\" width=\"1024\" height=\"769\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.rentable.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/30124006\/Sept-2017-Highest-Rents-1024x769.png 1024w, https:\/\/blog-assets.rentable.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/30124006\/Sept-2017-Highest-Rents-512x384.png 512w, https:\/\/blog-assets.rentable.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/30124006\/Sept-2017-Highest-Rents-768x576.png 768w, https:\/\/blog-assets.rentable.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/30124006\/Sept-2017-Highest-Rents-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/blog-assets.rentable.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/30124006\/Sept-2017-Highest-Rents.png 1207w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The list of the nation\u2019s highest rents is identical to last month\u2019s list. San Francisco, CA, still leads the way, with a one-bedroom median rent of $3,240, up $30 from August\u2019s report. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rentable.co\/new-york-ny\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New York City, NY<\/a>, saw rents drop $57 but still comes in at #2 on the list, with a median rent of $2,850. And San Jose, CA, where rents increased to $2,483, retains its place at #3.
